Sailing the Gulf Islands

Sailing and gunholing in the Pacific Northwest. Cowichan Bay, Sansum Narrows. Saltspring, Prevost, Saturna Islands to name just a few. San Juan Islands are just a hop away, but there is so much to see in our area that it will take me years to see it all. So, for the time being I will ramble on about the Gulf Islands.

March 2020 I moved to Salmon Arm, BC. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since I started this blog. Hopefully I can recover my old stuff and get it updated . But I still say I have abandoned my search for truth and am now willing to settle for a good fantasy.

Speaking of pests!

This is absolutely the last year I go to Telegraph Harbour (or probably Clam Bay). The float planes were not bad, they have to quit after dusk. But those blood Personal Watercraft are another story. Worse than mosquitos.

As well, Telegraph seems to be the harbour of choice for deadbeats. We had a really nice evening till the jerk on one grubby sailboat came back and fired up his generator. The bloody thing made such a racket. When it finally stopped it was only cause it ran out of gas. Took him less than 10 minutes to refuel. Now I am not talking about a regular generator. I am talking about some bloody construction generator. He has a nice musical sounding name to his boat, but that's where the comparison ends.

Your photographs are absolutely beautiful. I know starting out a blog is sometimes confusing, but you'll find out how they work, especially with blogger, it's so easy to figure out. I just thought I'd give you some advice to check out this site, creative commons licence for your pictures so you'll have them copyrighted.

It's free and a way to protect your work. Keep up the amazing site, I will link to it from mine, if yo wish.
